Sculpture by Alex Kasten
Ebbs, Arcs and Confluences
This series explores the fluid connections between natural elements—how figures, forms, and spaces intertwine to reflect constant motion. Carved and assembled wood becomes a metaphor for the shifting relationship between humans, spaces, as well as the soft boundary between sand and sea.
Each sculpture aims to capture a moment of transition—curving lines evoke both flowing tides and celestial arcs, suggesting how these elements move together in rhythm. Figures are subtly present, woven into the curves, emphasizing the human relationship with nature’s flow.
